Changxi (XH-03)

Changxi (designation XH-03) is the third ship of the Xihe-class interplanetary exploration mothership. Changxi began construction on 2058-02-15, completed assembly on 2059-12-09, and entered the commissioning phase on 2060-01-14. As of March 2060, Changxi is undergoing commissioning tests and is expected to complete on 2060-06-09, after which it will transition to pre-service maintenance. Changxi has no deep-space mission record yet.

Construction

Changxi's construction began on 2058-02-15 using low Earth orbit assembly, with a construction period of approximately 22 months. Construction proceeded in parallel with Taibai (XH-02)'s operational missions and the Stellaria-class construction program. Like Taibai, Changxi was assembled at Star Port Station using Qingtian cargo ships for large-module transport. Changxi completed assembly on 2059-12-09, and formally began commissioning on 2060-01-14.

Commissioning

Changxi began its commissioning phase on 2060-01-14, planned to last approximately 146 days, covering comprehensive Earth orbit systems checks, cislunar space maneuver validation, and deep-space communications testing. As of 2060-03-12, commissioning is in progress. After expected completion on 2060-06-09, Changxi will transition to pre-service maintenance before formal entry into service.
